A schedule you can work with.
Create individual shifts or reusable patterns. Review availability, time off, qualifications and suggested coverage before applying a schedule.
Built around the work of a grocery store
Schedules, stocking, inventory rotation, receiving, assignments and handoffs—together in a workspace your store can make its own.
Your store name. Your team. A clear record of what needs attention.
From the first task to the next shift
Build shifts, review availability, and assign employees or crews.
Record load progress, date checks, receiving differences and equipment issues.
Review completed duties, pass on handoffs, and keep linked audit corrections.
Daily work, connected
Open the work from the overview or shift dashboard. Start with a blank workspace and bring in your existing records.
Create individual shifts or reusable patterns. Review availability, time off, qualifications and suggested coverage before applying a schedule.
Record aisle and load progress, completed cases, remaining work and exceptions. Track dated inventory lots and rotation follow-up separately.
Import order and receiving records, compare quantities with explicit units and case packs, and assign unresolved shortages for follow-up.
Assign an employee or crew lead. Add written or recorded instructions and follow acknowledgement, completion and manager review in My work.
Record temperature, cleaning, opening and closing, recall, receiving, waste, equipment, price, training and customer-issue work. Route equipment follow-up to managers.
Leave saved shift handoffs. Filter and export the audit log, and add corrections linked to the original event. Original audit events remain intact.
Your store, your starting point
Connections, with clear status
Start with supported CSV exports. IT Retail and ECRS CATAPULT connections require vendor permission, a compatible adapter and store testing. No live POS connection is tested or included, and there is no automatic order submission.
Speak or type a request and review AI-assisted wording. In the audit log, review the draft before Save correction. AI is optional and cannot silently save operational changes.
Recorded instructions and in-app acknowledgements accompany assignments. SMS requires a configured provider, employee consent and delivery testing. Routine notifications wait for scheduled shifts; punch-clock integration is deferred.
POS: file import only; no live connection tested. AI assistance and SMS texts are not available yet. Microphone features depend on browser permission and device support.
Pilot pricing
Paid upfront. Covers the first 90 days for one store. After 90 days, the subscription continues automatically at $149 per store per month until canceled.
Additional stores: $149 per month each, with separate authorization for each store.
Uninstalling Professor Retail Operations or stopping use does not cancel billing. Monthly billing only; no annual plan.
No payment is collected on this page.
Existing test accounts: sign in.
Future price — not part of the current pilot offer
Jim Stansbury, the administrator, will decide when pilot testing is complete. The $899 price will then apply to new purchases. It is not available at checkout during the pilot offer.
Cancellation method, refund and tax terms are not yet published; see the Terms of Use. POS: file import only; no live POS connection is tested. AI assistance and SMS texts are not available yet.
Questions before you begin
The connection screen provides a starting point and supported file imports. A live connection needs the vendor’s approved access, compatible data mapping and a test against the participating store’s system. Neither vendor is certified or connected. Professor does not automatically submit supplier orders.
Authorized users for that store, according to their roles. The Store Director manages access. The audit log is restricted to the Store Director; security work has its own permissions. Cross-store chat needs approval from both directors.
No. AI can prepare wording after an administrator connects the provider. The director reviews the wording and explicitly saves a linked correction. The original audit event stays recorded.
SMS texts are not available yet. Texts require a provider account, employee consent, spending limits and actual delivery testing. In-app acknowledgement is a separate record; a queued text is not proof of delivery.
Yes, through the authorized CSV preview-and-confirm workflow. Download a blank template, map the required columns and resolve errors before confirming. Employee imports do not grant login access. Dated counts retain their observation date and do not create expiration dates.
Once payment and store access are confirmed, the director signs in, enters the store name and time zone, adds or imports employees, assigns access and builds the schedule. Read the getting-started guide for the sequence. Customer checkout is not currently enabled.
